Vastuu Group’s interfaces and services

What is an interface?

  • A technical interface (API) enables data transfer between services. An API (Application Programming Interface) is an interface that allows different software systems to communicate with each other. It provides the rules and specifications for how information can be requested and delivered between applications. An API makes it possible for applications and services to use each other’s functionalities without needing to modify their internal code.

Vastuu Group APIs:

  • Luotettava Kumppani API

The Reliable Partner API provides access to two distinct services: the traditional Reliable Partner – Contractor’s Liability Information (RP CL) and the renewed, broader Reliable Partner (RP) service.

The basic service focuses on statutory contractor’s liability data required in procurement and construction processes. It includes essential legal obligations such as registration, tax compliance, and insurance information.

The renewed RP service builds on this foundation by offering a deeper view into a company’s overall trustworthiness. In addition to RP CL, it includes insights into the company’s financial status, key individuals, and responsibility practices—also factoring in any applicable sanctions related to the company or its management.

Report data is available in JSON, PDF and HTML formats and can be seamlessly integrated into procurement or supplier management systems, enabling real-time, automated use of verified company information in business-critical workflows.

  • Person API
Depending on the use cases and data requirements of your system, you also have the option to supplement employee information stored on the Valtti card through our Person API, a personal data interface. Through the Person API, you can, for example, retrieve all the necessary information for the Tax Administration employee report for your client acting as the main contractor on a construction site in your system.

  • Korttivarasto

The Korttivarasto API contains information on all activated Valtti cards. This interface serves the purpose of authenticating confirmed personnel cards.

Use cases:

  • If you want information about a particular Valtti card, use one of the endpoints for fetching a single card
  • If you want to know which cards are closed or expired, use the /cards endpoint to gather that information about all the cards

  • Competence Input API

The Competence Input API allows training organizations to submit information about completed competences to Vastuu Group’s competence register, making them visible to employers using the Valtti+ service. The interface is intended for trainers who have entered into a trainer agreement with Vastuu Group and have been granted the right to submit specific types of competences. Adding a competence to the competence register does not require the individual in question to already exist in Vastuu Group’s register. All competences and identification details are stored in the system, even if there is no corresponding employee in the register at the time of submission. If an employee is later added whose identification details match a competence in the register, the competence will be linked to that employee. The validity period is mandatory information for competences. Normally, competences do not need to be removed manually, as they are automatically removed from the register after a certain period following the expiration of their validity. The training organization’s name displayed alongside competences is the company name specified in the trainer’s company account.

  • Työmaarekisteri API (Site Register)

Through the Työmaarekisteri API, you can create construction sites and edit data for sites you manage within the Building Site Register directly from your system. If you or your customer already uses the Building Site Register, you can easily retrieve a list of sites via the API and import their data into your system. You can also save contract and invoicing details via the Erämies API, and site access data via the Kulkuri API into the Site Register. Using the Site Register, you can conveniently send both contract and employee reports directly to the Finnish Tax Administration – the reports are generated automatically based on the stored contract and access data.

  • Valtti+ Tarkastaja API

Through the Valtti+ Tarkastaja API, you can search for basic employee information, employee-related documents (identity proof, residence permit and A1 certificate) with attachments, and competences with attachments. The information is mainly information entered into the system by employers. The information is available only from those employers who have adopted the paid Valtti+ service, and who have authorized the information of their company’s employees to the company requesting the information (usually the main contractor of the construction site). The primary purpose of use of the interface is to transmit information from the employer to the site’s main contractors for inspection during the work site inductions. The interface is a paid service for the company requesting information. Use requires that the company requesting information (usually the main contractor) has a valid license.

  • Kulkuri & Erämies API

You can save contract and invoicing data to the Site Register via the Erämies API and site access data via the Kulkuri API. Through the Site Register, you can easily submit both the contract report and the employee report directly to the Finnish Tax Administration – the reports are automatically generated based on the contract and access data you have stored.
