The verification of the company account aims to enhance the information security of our services and to reduce the risk of misuse. A person who has the right to sign on behalf of the company must verify the company account, if the company wants their employees to verify their Valtti cards and receive a PIN code for their cards. Companies that use the Employee Management service and the Card service must verify their company account by September 2023, after which the use of the above services will require that the company account has been verified.
The person verifying the company account must have user rights for the company account. The main user can invite a person who has the right to sign for the company as a user in User management. The verification can be completed either by the main user or a standard level user.
At the present time, only Finnish companies with signatory details found in the trade register can verify the company account.
How is a company account verified?
To verify a company account, select “Company details” from the drop-down menu that opens under the company name from the top right corner.
Select “Go to verification” next to “Company account verification”.
A step-by-step description of the verification process is shown on the first page of the verification of the company account. If the person verifying the company account has already verified their identity, they will be automatically directed to step 3.
In the first step the user is asked to verify that they have the right to represent the company.
In the second phase, the user is directed to verify their identity. The supported verification methods are listed here. After the authentication, we will ensure that the user has the right to represent the company.
In the third phase, the user must check that the basic details of the company found on the company account are correct. Where required, the details can be edited after the verification in the same Company details view from where the user was directed to the verification.
In the fourth step the user must accept the terms of use and the privacy notice. Once the user has accepted these, the company account is verified.
